The Day The Music Died (ch.1)

DESCRIPTION: Kinda sucks and its a little rushed. Apologies. I have some plans with this story, though. Comment it, even if it sucks!

For some reason I was in a pool.
Oh yeah, he invited me to his pool party.

But why?
Oh yeah, he likes me.

For how long?
Oh yeah, apparently "forever".

I sighed as I watched all of his friends swim around, laughing and playing. I sighed again, looking at his smooth, even, olive-toned skin, his messy dark brown hair that fiercely contrasted with light, green eyes. Everything about his face was abstract and everything seemed to stand out, but he was utterly gorgeous.

I gasped a little, realizing that I was holding my breath.

I gasped again when I heard him clear his throat. "Hey." I said, in a shaken voice.
"Having fun over here by yourself?" He was being sarcastic, but I pretended not to notice.
"Pretty much, yeah." I grinned slightly in his direction, making sure my eyes didn't meet his.
I could feel his eyes on my face, so I looked at him. "What?" I asked, laughing a little. Maybe that would hide my nerves.
"Are you nervous?" Apparently not, I thought, looking at his friends.
"A bit."
"Why?" His voice sounded harsh, and when I looked into his eyes, I could see that he was confused.
"I don't know..." I admitted. "What are we?"
He shrugged a little. "I dunno. You tell me."
I rolled my eyes. "I don't know, Troy."
He sighed. "Well, I would really like to be  more than friends."
My heart started speeding up. "Really?" I said shyly.
"Yes." He looked at me with sickly sweet eyes, taking one of my hands. "Will you get with me?"
My heart was thudding against my chest. It was so loud in my ears I was afraid that he would hear it. "Umm, okay." I beamed at him and in the next instant we were walking away from his friends to another part of the backyard - that seemed to go on for ages.
